“D.P.” Season Two has confirmed its cast and shared some exciting new details.
D.P tells the story of a soldier who is quiet and calm but inflexible (Jung Hae-In) meets a sergeant (Kim Sung Kyun) who notices his shortcomings, he transfers him to the D.P. (Deserter Pursuit) team. Their mission is to catch deserters. There the soldier meets Corporal Han Ho Yeol (Koo Gyo-Hwan), he begins to give the soldier the investigative know-how, but he annoys him sometimes.
Netflix’s “D.P.” garnered huge success and has been showered with rave reviews, the drama’s ending left fans with a cliffhanger and many started to wonder whether a season two is coming soon. Last year, the drama was confirmed to be coming back with season two.
On May 31, “D.P.” shared a sneak peek at the script reading for the drama and confirmed that Jung Hae In, Goo Kyo Hwan, Kim Sung Kyun, and Son Suk Ku are all coming back to reprise their roles. In addition, the director of the first season is also joining.
Added to that, “D.P.” season two will include the addition of Ji Jin Hee and Kim Ji Hyun. Ji Jin Hee will play the role of Goo Ja Woon, the chief legal officer of the army headquarters. Kim Ji Hyun is taking on the role of Lieutenant Colonel Seo Eun, the operations officer of the Ministry of National Defense Prosecutor’s Office.
“D.P.” had previously won big at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards, it won Best Drama, and the drama’s stars Jo Hyun Chul and Goo Kyo Hwan won Best Supporting Actor and Best New Actor, respectively.
